Parental Treatment Methods and their Relationship to Adolescents' Behaviors of Using Social Media Programs

Abstract
The Using Internet and modern technologies greatly affected the lives of adolescents. Parents find it difficult to control them as required. The objective of this research is to find the relationship between the methods of parental treatment and the behavior of adolescent users of social media websites. There is a statistically significant inverse correlation between parental treatment methods and the behavior of adolescent users of social media websites. The correlation coefficient of parental treatment methods for fathers was 0.871** and for mothers was 0.752**. Therefore, there are differences in methods of parental treatment among parents in favor of mothers. There are statistically significant differences between the behavior of adolescent users of social media websites according to the gender and the age.
