Challenges to Fostering Values among Omani School Students from the Perspectives of Social Studies and Islamic Education Teachers

Abstract
This study examines the views of social studies and Islamic education teachers about fostering values among
Omani school students and the challenges they face. The study sample consisted of 430 male and female teachers.
A questionnaire was used to collect the data and the results showed that both social studies and Islamic education
teachers are highly concerned about the importance of fostering values among school students, and they believe
that several methods are necessary to achieve this. The results also indicated that these teachers face many
difficulties in fostering values, particularly Islamic education teachers.
